Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan: No Final Decision Yet on Political Affiliation
Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan has made it clear that he is keeping his political options open and is not obligated to join the newly formed political party.
Speaking at a press briefing today (26 April), the adviser to the ministries of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, and Youth and Sports, said, “It can be any party, not necessarily the new political party.”
While acknowledging an “interest” in the National Citizen Party (NCP) — a platform created by the younger generation and individuals of his own age group — Asif Mahmud emphasized that no assumptions should be made regarding his political future.
He further clarified, “It is not the right time yet to decide which party I would join, and when that decision will be made is also uncertain.”
Currently, Asif Mahmud remains noncommittal about his next political move, indicating a strategic and deliberate approach to his entry into formal politics.
