The Chronify
The wait is finally over! Apple is set to unveil its new iPhones along with a range of other exciting products. The company’s highly anticipated launch event is scheduled for September 9. Excitement is running high in the tech world, as Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 17 series, alongside the new Apple Watch model and the much-rumored AirPods Pro 3.
Apple’s event will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, Cupertino, California. It will be livestreamed on Apple’s website, YouTube channel, and the Apple TV app.
The event’s tagline, “Awe Dropping,” hints that Apple is set to introduce some truly surprising and impressive changes to its products this year.
Let’s take a look at what’s expected:
One of the biggest highlights of this year’s event could be the iPhone 17 Air set to be the thinnest iPhone in Apple’s history, measuring just 5.5mm in thickness. It’s expected to feature a 6.6-inch ProMotion display and Dynamic Island technology. However, due to its ultra-thin design, Apple has reportedly made some compromises in the camera department the phone will feature only a single 48MP rear camera.
The iPhone 17 Air will be powered by the new A19 chip, include Apple’s in-house Wi-Fi chip and C1 modem, and will rely entirely on eSIM, with no physical SIM card slot. Prices are expected to start at $900.
While the standard iPhone 17 may not bring major design changes, it will for the first time feature a 120Hz ProMotion display. The display size is rumored to increase to 6.3 inches, matching that of the iPhone 17 Pro. It will also come with the A19 chip and a dual-camera setup with 48MP and 12MP sensors. Pricing may start at $800.
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models are expected to undergo significant upgrades. Apple is said to be using a new aluminum frame that is lighter than titanium and improves heat dissipation. The rear camera design is also being completely revamped, extending across the top portion of the device. These models will likely feature the A19 Pro chip and a new 48MP telephoto lens. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max could start at $1,099 and $1,199 respectively.
Also expected is the launch of the AirPods Pro 3, which may introduce health-focused features for the first time — including heart rate monitoring. Other upgrades may include real-time translation and a new, more powerful H3 chip.
