Historic event held in Dhaka with 54 paratroopers setting the global record
On December 16, 2025, Bangladesh made history by setting a world record for the most flag-handed paratrooping in celebration of Victory Day. The event took place at the Parade Ground near the old Tejgaon Airport in the capital, organized by the Bangladesh Armed Forces.
A total of 54 paratroopers from "Team Bangladesh" participated in this exceptional parachuting display, marking the world record for the largest flag-handling paratrooping event. The momentous occasion was witnessed by the Chief Adviser of the Government of Bangladesh, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
The event also featured a spectacular fly-past demonstration, with coordinated performances from the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Various aircraft and helicopters from the Bangladesh Air Force soared in the skies, showcasing their impressive aerial skills.
