Latin American country Brazil rocked by massive protests, with thousands rallying on the streets of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Brasília.

On Sunday, leftist groups and artists in Brazil organized a massive protest march against the controversial Amnesty Bill proposed in Parliament. People from all walks of life including students, artists, and human rights activists carried banners and chanted slogans.

The huge demonstrations spread across at least 22 areas in the capital Rio de Janeiro, as well as São Paulo and Brasília. More than 40,000 participants attended, with artists performing songs to express their protest.

The bill, if passed in Congress, could grant amnesty to former President Jair Bolsonaro, who was arrested over allegations of a coup attempt, sparking widespread outrage among Brazilian citizens.
