In a significant development, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) announced plans to increase Saudi Arabia's investment in the United States from $600 billion to $1 trillion. This announcement was made during a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House on November 18, 2025.

MBS, who is the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia, stated, “I believe, Mr. President, today and tomorrow we can announce that we are going to upgrade the $600 billion investment to nearly $1 trillion.” He emphasized that the two countries would sign agreements in various fields, including technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and magnetics, which would create significant investment opportunities.

President Trump responded to the announcement, expressing his gratitude for the substantial commitment. He remarked, "Thank you, because you've already agreed to invest $600 billion in the U.S. Since you're my friend, you might make it $1 trillion, but I’ll have to work on this."

Following several bilateral agreements between the two nations, Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the U.S., Princess Reema bint Bandar Al Saud, shared her perspective on social media, calling it an important day for Saudi-American relations. She highlighted that the agreements would encourage investment, create employment opportunities in both countries, and strengthen their commitment to regional and global security.
