The United States has stopped issuing visas to Afghans

The United States has stopped issuing visas to citizens of Afghanistan. The U.S. State Department has already sent directives on this matter to all American embassies and consular offices worldwide.
The message states that no Afghan individual is to be granted a U.S. visa, and all visa applications submitted by Afghans that are currently being processed must be halted immediately.
U.S. Secretary of State and President Trump’s National Security Advisor, Marco Rubio, confirmed this information in a post on the social media platform X on Saturday.
In his post on X, he said, “The State Department under President Trump is halting the issuance of visas to all holders of Afghan passports. The safety and security of the United States and the American people are our highest priority. There will be no compromise on this.”
