U.S. President Donald Trump mocked Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg over the incident involving the relief flotilla “Global Sumud Flotilla,” in which she attempted to sail to Gaza, was detained by Israeli forces, and later released.

Last Friday, the Israeli navy detained more than 400 activists from the Global Sumud Flotilla, which had attempted to break the Gaza blockade by sea. Among those detained was Greta Thunberg. Over the weekend, more than 130 of the activists were sent back to Turkey, and on Monday, Israel deported Greta Thunberg and several others to Greece and Slovakia.

When reporters at the Oval Office asked U.S. President Donald Trump about Greta Thunberg on Monday, he said,

“She’s a troublemaker. She’s no longer working on environmental issues  she’s just running around doing these things. She should see a doctor; she has anger management problems.”

After returning from Israeli custody on Saturday, several flotilla activists and lawyers alleged that Israeli authorities mistreated Greta Thunberg and other detainees, though Israel denied the accusations.

Trump and Thunberg have had a long-running feud, often exchanging verbal jabs over the years. In 2019, when Thunberg was named TIME Magazine’s Person of the Year, Trump commented, “She has an anger management problem.”
