Turkey is working towards achieving lasting peace in Gaza

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said that Gaza now urgently needs reconstruction and recovery. He also stated that Turkey is actively working to ensure that the agreement between Hamas and Israel serves as a foundation for lasting peace. This was reported by the Mehr news agency.
President Erdoğan made these remarks while delivering a speech at the 5th Türkiye-Africa Business and Economic Forum held in Istanbul.
He said, "We remain cautious due to Israel’s past actions, as Gaza now urgently requires rapid reconstruction."
He further added, "Turkey is making relentless efforts to solidify the Hamas-Israel agreement and ensure it paves the way for lasting peace."
Regarding the ongoing Sudan crisis, Erdoğan said that Turkey is deeply saddened by the conflict in Sudan and hopes for a ceasefire and the establishment of lasting peace in the country.
He emphasized, “The international community has not paid enough attention to the humanitarian catastrophe in Sudan, although it is everyone’s humanitarian duty to help stop the bloodshed.”
The Turkish President further stated, “Unfortunately, the Western world views Africa’s civil wars, conflicts, and disputes as the continent’s fate.”
