The schedule for the 2026 ICC U-19 World Cup has been announced, with the tournament set to take place in Namibia and Zimbabwe from January 15 to February 6, 2026. This will be the first edition since the 2024 tournament, and it will feature 16 teams competing over 23 days, with a total of 41 matches.

In the group stage, Bangladesh has been placed in the same group as India, New Zealand, and the United States. The tournament will kick off with India facing the United States, while Zimbabwe will play Scotland, and the West Indies will take on Tanzania.

This will be Tanzania’s first time participating in the U-19 World Cup, while Japan returns to the tournament after a hiatus since 2020. Each group will send the top three teams to the Super Sixes, where the top teams will advance to the semifinals and finals.

Bangladesh's journey in the tournament will begin on January 17 against India, followed by a match against New Zealand on January 20, and their final group-stage match against the United States on January 23. The Bangladeshi team, who were the 2020 champions, secured their place in the tournament after finishing in the top 10 in the 2024 World Cup held in South Africa.

In addition to the host nations Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, other direct qualifiers include Australia, England, India, Ireland, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and the West Indies. Five other teams have earned spots through regional qualifiers: Tanzania from Africa, the United States from the Americas, Afghanistan from Asia, Japan from the East Asia-Pacific region, and Scotland from Europe.
