70% of People Want to Vote for BNP, Survey Reveals

Jamaat-e-Islami Secures 19% Support, According to Latest Poll
A recent opinion poll has revealed that 70% of respondents intend to vote for the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election. The survey also found 19% support for Jamaat-e-Islami, while 2.6% expressed support for the National People's Party (NCP).
The survey, conducted by Eminence Associates for Social Development (EASD), gathered responses from 20,495 individuals across 300 constituencies from December 20, 2025, to January 1, 2026. The findings were presented by the CEO of EASD, Shamim Haider Talukdar, during an event in Dhaka on January 5, 2026.
According to the survey, when asked which party is likely to form the next government, 77% of people believe BNP will be in power, while 17% think Jamaat-e-Islami could form the government. The remaining respondents had mixed views on the possibilities.
Regarding the election outcome, 74% of respondents predict BNP's victory, while 18% favor Jamaat-e-Islami. NCP and the Jatiya Party are seen as unlikely winners by just a small percentage of voters.
When asked about previous voting intentions, 35% indicated they wanted to vote for BNP in the last election, while 27% had considered voting for Awami League. More than 5% of respondents had considered voting for Jamaat-e-Islami.
