Warner Bros. Discovery is expanding its global streaming footprint. As part of this move, HBO Max will launch in 14 new markets across the Asia-Pacific region — including Bangladesh — starting October 15.

The already popular platform features titles like Harry Potter, House of the Dragon, and The Last of Us, along with Warner Bros. blockbusters such as Superman, A Minecraft Movie, and Final Destination: Bloodlines.

JB Perrette, CEO and President of Warner Bros. Discovery’s Global Streaming and Games division, said: ‘After successfully launching earlier this year in Australia and Europe, HBO Max is now reaching more viewers worldwide. By the end of the year, it will be available in over 100 markets. In 2026, it will also debut in major territories such as Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom.

From day one, subscribers in Bangladesh will have access to HBO Originals, Max Originals, popular Warner Bros. content, as well as selected shows from Discovery, TLC, AFN, Food Network, ID, and HGTV.

The biggest highlight will be the premiere of IT: Welcome to Derry on October 27. Set in Stephen King’s IT universe, the film stars Taylor Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, and Bill Skarsgård, and is produced by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs.

Thanks to its simple and user-friendly interface, customers will be able to stream content across multiple devices. Features include customizable profiles, avatar options, a ‘continue watching’ function, and the ability to download content for offline viewing. For children, there will be dedicated profiles, age-based content selections, and enhanced parental controls.

Subscriptions will be available directly through www.hbomax.com from the launch day, with additional partnership announcements expected soon.
