India will always remember our response,” said Shehbaz Sharif

At the UN General Assembly, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that India had carried out attacks on Pakistan’s territory and civilians. In response, Pakistan launched counterattacks — something, he said, India will always remember.
He said that after the April attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan had offered India assistance in a thorough investigation. However, India rejected the proposal and instead carried out strikes on Pakistani territory.
The Pakistani Prime Minister also accused India at the UN of playing political games and stated that Pakistan views Hindutva as a threat to the entire world.
Sharif added that Pakistan responded to India’s aggression with counterstrikes, asserting its right to self-defense. He claimed that seven Indian aircraft were shot down, declaring that “India will never forget our response.”
He further warned that any violation of the Indus Waters Treaty would be considered an act of war by Pakistan.
Sharif told the UN that U.S. President Donald Trump had intervened to stop the conflict between Pakistan and India, and in gratitude, Pakistan nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. He also thanked the countries that stood by Pakistan during that period of heightened tensions.
In addition to these issues, Sharif addressed the Israel-Palestine conflict and Pakistan’s devastating floods, stressing that the floods were a consequence of climate change that the world must take into account.
