Israeli soldiers reportedly confiscated a herd of goats from Syrian farmers and transported them to illegal settlements in the West Bank.
Israeli media has reported an incident in which Israeli troops are accused of stealing a herd of approximately 250 goats from Syria and smuggling them into the occupied West Bank.
According to Israel's Channel 12, which cited police sources, the event occurred two weeks ago when a battalion from the Golan Brigade, operating in the occupied Golan Heights, was conducting an operation in Syria. The soldiers reportedly identified the herd, which belonged to Syrian farmers, and took action to seize the animals.
The soldiers allegedly loaded the goats onto trucks that appeared to have been pre-arranged for the operation and brought them into Israeli-controlled territory. From there, the goats were transported to several farms in illegal Israeli outposts located in the West Bank, further fueling tensions in the region.
The incident has raised concerns over the ongoing Israeli occupation and practices in the occupied territories, adding to the already volatile situation in the region.
