Melinda Gates Opens Up About Bill Gates' Name in Epstein Files
The Chronify
Melinda Gates shares her feelings on the painful memories brought back by the Epstein files, addressing the claims surrounding her ex-husband, Bill Gates.
Melinda Gates, the ex-wife of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, has publicly spoken out about the recent release of documents related to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, which include Bill Gates' name. She revealed that the mention of her former husband's name in these files brought back "very painful" memories from their marriage.
Speaking in an interview on NPR's 'Wild Card' podcast, Melinda expressed feeling "incredible sadness" over the Epstein scandal. She emphasized that those named in the documents, including her ex-husband, should be held accountable.
"I am truly relieved to be away from all these muddy issues," she said, referring to the turmoil surrounding her divorce from Bill Gates in 2021 after 27 years of marriage.
The newly released documents have sparked a global debate, revealing the involvement of high-profile individuals, including former U.S. Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, Tesla's Elon Musk, and Bill Gates. While Gates' spokesperson has vehemently denied the allegations, calling them baseless and false, it is important to note that no Epstein victims have directly accused Bill Gates of any crimes.
Melinda also discussed how these revelations have been difficult for her personally, bringing back painful memories from her marriage. "The remaining questions will have to be answered by those involved, even by my former husband. I will not be providing those answers," she added.
Bill Gates' spokesperson has denied the claims, stating that Epstein's attempts to establish a lasting relationship with Gates were unsuccessful, leading to frustration on Epstein's part and his attempts to tarnish Gates' reputation.
Despite the sensationalism surrounding these documents, Gates has consistently minimized his association with Epstein, claiming that their interactions were limited to a few social dinners and that no joint charitable projects were ever implemented.
