A multinational crew was safely evacuated from a distress-hit vessel in the North Arabian Sea, with authorities confirming the presence of Bangladeshi nationals among those rescued.

Pakistan Navy has rescued 18 sailors, including nationals from Bangladesh, after responding to a distress call from a cargo vessel in the North Arabian Sea.

 

According to a statement issued by the Pakistani military on Friday (April 10, 2026), the vessel named Golden Autumn requested emergency assistance while operating in the region.

 

Following the call for help, naval forces were deployed and successfully evacuated all 18 crew members from the ship.

 

Authorities confirmed that the rescued sailors include citizens of Bangladesh, China, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Indonesia, although the exact number of Bangladeshi nationals has not yet been officially confirmed.

 

The rescued crew members were transported safely to Karachi, where they are currently receiving medical attention and necessary support.

 

Officials have not yet disclosed the nature of the emergency that led to the distress situation on board the vessel. However, an investigation is expected to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

 

Maritime authorities continue to monitor the situation in the region as rescue and safety operations remain a priority in busy international shipping routes.
