Good News for Non-IT Students: IDB-BISEW Offers IT Scholarships Again The Islamic Development Bank–Bangladesh Islamic Solidarity Education Waqf (IDB-BISEW) is once again offering IT scholarships for students from non-IT backgrounds. Applications are now open for the 70th round of this program.
Training and Benefits
Selected candidates will receive a completely free 8.5-month IT training, valued at approximately 200,000 BDT. Upon successful completion of the course, students gain opportunities for employment both in Bangladesh and abroad. Currently, 92% of course graduates have successfully established careers in their fields.
IDB-BISEW was jointly established by the Government of Bangladesh and the Islamic Development Bank (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia). The program has been running for 19 years, producing a total of 17,276 IT professionals, who are now employed across more than 3,254 organizations worldwide.
Admission Details and Seats

Total seats: 165

Maximum age: 30 years (as of the application deadline)

Previous participants of earlier rounds are not eligible to reapply

Diploma holders’ courses will be conducted only in Dhaka
-
Written and oral admission tests will be held in Dhaka and Chattogram.

Written tests will follow an MCQ format covering Mathematics and English

Eligibility
-
Graduates or current students of Bachelor’s (Honours), Fazil, Master’s, or Kamil programs
-
Four-year Diploma in Engineering holders in Computer, Telecommunication, Electronics, Civil, Architecture, Survey, or Construction streams
-
Ineligible: BSc in Computer Science, BSc in Engineering, doctors, and lawyers
