Biman Bangladesh Records Highest Ever Revenue and Profit in FY 2024-25

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has achieved record-breaking financial success in the 2024-2025 fiscal year. The national flag carrier reported a total revenue of Tk 11,559 crore, marking a 9.46% increase from the previous year. The airline's net profit reached Tk 785.21 crore, a remarkable 178% increase from the previous year.

The airline also reported an operational profit of Tk 1,602 crore, continuing its profit streak for the fifth consecutive year. Biman has consistently achieved net profits in 9 out of the last 10 fiscal years.

In the past fiscal year, Biman carried 33.83 million passengers to 30 domestic and international destinations using its fleet of 21 aircraft. This is a 1% increase in passenger traffic compared to the previous year. The airline also saw significant success in cargo transport, with 43,918 metric tons of cargo generating Tk 925 crore, a 45.21% increase in revenue.

Biman further contributed to ground handling services, assisting 61,003,147 passengers through 31,112 flights of foreign airlines. The airline operates entirely on its own revenue and has never received subsidies from the government in its 54-year history.

Thanks to improved service quality, customer trust in Biman has risen. In January 2025, the airline set a record for its highest-ever ticket sales. Modernization of airport processes and enhanced in-flight services have contributed to growing passenger satisfaction.

Looking ahead, Biman plans to expand routes to popular destinations, enhance its digital transformation, and strengthen its cargo services. The airline aims to establish itself as one of South Asia's leading carriers.
