This surge follows a record-breaking January, which saw the third-highest monthly remittance inflow in the country's history, amounting to $3.17 billion. Additionally, December 2025 had seen the second-highest monthly inflow, at $3.22 billion, while November 2025 recorded $2.89 billion in remittances.
Earlier figures for the months of October and September stood at $2.56 billion and $2.68 billion, respectively, while figures for August and July showed $2.42 billion and $2.47 billion, respectively.
The 2024-25 fiscal year set an all-time record for remittance inflows, with expatriates sending a total of $30.32 billion, further underscoring the critical role that remittances play in Bangladesh's economy.
