Intern Doctor Arrested for Installing Hidden Camera in Women's Washroom at Tangail Hospital
A Tangail Medical College intern has been arrested for placing a hidden camera in a female doctor's washroom, sparking outrage among hospital staff.
An intern doctor at Tangail Medical College Hospital has been arrested by the police on charges of installing a hidden camera in the women’s washroom. The incident came to light on Monday, January 26, when the accused, Raihan Kabir Imon, was identified by fellow students at the hospital. Upon discovering the camera, the intern doctors, in collaboration with the hospital director, confined Imon.
As tensions escalated, local police, including DB police and members of the army, arrived at the scene. Following the intervention of the authorities and under growing pressure from the protesting intern doctors, the police took the accused into custody and later transported him to the DB office.
Abdul Kuddus, the director of Tangail Medical College Hospital, confirmed that the accused was held by the police and that while no formal case had been filed yet, legal proceedings were ongoing.
The revelation of this incident has caused widespread anxiety and anger among the hospital staff. There have been calls for a thorough investigation and for exemplary punishment to be meted out to the offender.
