Inquilab Mancha announces the nomination of Shahid Hadi's sister for parliamentary elections during a gathering at Shahbagh.

In a bold move, Inquilab Mancha, the leading force behind the July Revolution, has proposed that the sister of the late Shahid Sharif Osman Hadi be nominated to contest in the upcoming parliamentary elections. This announcement was made during a large rally held at Shahbagh on Friday afternoon.

The rally saw thousands of young men and women, along with families, gathering in support. Many joined the protest in processions, waving flags and chanting slogans. The event also called for the government to officially sponsor the Shahbagh Square and the Inquilab Cultural Center left behind by Hadi, demanding recognition for his legacy.

Supreme Court lawyer SM Shahriar Kabir, addressing the rally, stated that Hadi's death must not be in vain. He emphasized that Hadi sacrificed his life fighting for the country, the people, and against imperialism. Kabir also criticized the so-called intellectuals, questioning why they had remained silent when Mahmudur Rahman was attacked in Kushtia. He concluded that the era of intellectual hypocrisy should end in Bangladesh.

On the ground, large numbers of students and citizens from across Dhaka gathered at Shahbagh, waving flags and chanting slogans such as "Break the black hand of fascism," "Destroy the base of Awami League in this land," and "We will not let Hadi's blood go in vain." The demonstrators expressed their outrage and grief over Hadi’s death.

Sohail, a student from Jatrabari, shared his sorrow, stating, "We are deeply saddened by the loss of a patriot and courageous man like Hadi."

The news of Hadi’s death sent shockwaves across Dhaka and the entire country, with people pouring into the streets to pay tribute to his sacrifice.
