Sharing Postal Ballot Voting Photos or Videos Will Lead to NID Block
Election Commission Warns of Legal Actions for Social Media Sharing of Voting Content
The Election Commission (EC) has issued a strict warning regarding the sharing of photos or videos of postal ballot voting on social media. Any voter found sharing such content will face punitive measures, including the blocking of their National Identity Card (NID).
According to EC sources, the commission emphasized that maintaining the confidentiality of postal voting is both a right and responsibility of the voter. Sharing photos or videos of the ballot or voting process on social media is considered a legal offense. Anyone involved in such activities will have their NID blocked, along with facing other legal actions.
The EC has urged voters to refrain from posting or sharing any postal voting-related content on social media platforms, as it violates electoral confidentiality and could lead to serious consequences.
