Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor of Bangladesh's Interim Government, met with Queen Mathilde of Belgium during his visit to attend the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The meeting took place on Monday (September 22) in New York at the UN headquarters during a break in an event.
During the same event, the Chief Advisor also met with former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. They discussed various issues.
Additionally, the Chief Advisor met with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, and it is believed they exchanged views on the economic situation of Bangladesh.
It is noteworthy that the Chief Advisor, Professor Muhammad Yunus, arrived at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport on Monday at 3:00 PM local time (New York time) aboard a commercial flight from Emirates Airlines. He is currently in New York to attend the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
