27,325 Bangladeshi Hajj Pilgrims Arrive in Saudi Arabia in First Four Days

Government confirms smooth Hajj operations as thousands reach Jeddah ahead of pilgrimage season
A total of 27,325 pilgrims from Bangladesh have arrived in Saudi Arabia within the first four days of this year’s Hajj travel, according to official data from the Hajj bulletin.
Director of the Bangladesh Hajj Office, Lokman Hossain, confirmed that 58 flights had landed in Jeddah by Thursday morning, marking steady progress in the pilgrimage operation.
Authorities stated that a total of 78,500 Bangladeshi citizens have been approved to perform Hajj this year. Among them, 4,565 pilgrims will travel under government management, while the remaining majority will proceed under private arrangements coordinated by licensed agencies.
Flight distribution data shows that Biman Bangladesh Airlines carried 10,747 pilgrims, Saudi Airlines transported 9,782, and Flynas Airlines brought 6,796 pilgrims to the holy sites.
Officials added that the remaining pilgrims will arrive gradually through scheduled flights in the coming weeks.
The Hajj pilgrimage is expected to take place on 26 May, subject to the official sighting of the moon, with authorities expressing confidence in maintaining smooth coordination and logistics throughout the operation.
