As-Sunnah Foundation Honors 500 Qawmi Scholars with Awards and Umrah Packages
Top-performing Dawra-e-Hadith students receive recognition, financial rewards, and spiritual opportunities at Dhaka ceremony
The As-Sunnah Foundation hosted a large-scale felicitation ceremony to honor 500 outstanding Qawmi madrasa students for their academic excellence in 2026. The event took place at the foundation’s auditorium, bringing together scholars, educators, and distinguished guests.
The awardees were selected from candidates who achieved top positions and “Mumtaz” distinctions in the Dawra-e-Hadith examinations conducted under Al-Haiyatul Ulya Lil-Jamiatil Qawmia Bangladesh. From over a thousand applicants, the highest-scoring 500 students were chosen for recognition.
Each selected student received prizes collectively valued at approximately Tk 4.5 million, including Umrah packages, educational vouchers for books, commemorative items, and health cards.
The ceremony was led by prominent Islamic scholar Maulana Abdul Malek, along with other notable figures from religious, academic, and social sectors. Speakers emphasized the importance of knowledge, integrity, and leadership, offering guidance to the young scholars for their future contributions.
Organizers also showcased documentary presentations highlighting the foundation’s ongoing humanitarian and educational initiatives.
The event concluded with the distribution of awards, with organizers expressing hope that the recognition would inspire students to pursue higher research and contribute meaningfully to society.
