The U-19 Cricket World Cup began yesterday with India taking on the United States. The first day saw three thrilling matches, and today, six more teams are in action. Bangladesh’s U-19 team will start their campaign tomorrow against India, which has already secured a big win over the United States.
The tournament is being jointly hosted by Zimbabwe and Namibia, with all of Bangladesh’s matches taking place in Zimbabwe. The first match will be held at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, where Bangladesh will face India, the team with the most titles in U-19 World Cup history. India has won five championships, the most recent being in 2022. Bangladesh, on the other hand, has one title, which they won in 2020 after defeating India in the final.
In Group A, Bangladesh is joined by India, the United States, and New Zealand. Bangladesh will also play against New Zealand on January 20 and the United States on January 23. The match against New Zealand will be in Bulawayo, while the match against the United States will take place in Harare.
