Paris Saint-Germain's Historic Victory Nets Them Record Prize Money, While Other Top Teams Share the Rewards
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has won its first-ever UEFA Champions League title, and with it, they have received a massive financial reward. The French giants will be awarded 2,058 crore Taka (approximately 168 million USD) for their victory, marking a significant financial gain alongside their historic achievement.
PSG's triumph comes after a fierce competition, with their victory sealed through a gripping final. The total prize pool for the 2024-25 season was 2.47 billion USD, 466 million USD higher than the previous year, thanks to the new competition format.
Runner-up Inter Milan will also benefit greatly, earning 1,948 crore Taka (159 million USD). Seven other teams received at least 116 million USD each in prize money.
Real Madrid, the most successful team in Champions League history, earned 119 million USD, while Manchester City received the least amount from English clubs, with 88.5 million USD.
In the UEFA Europa League, Tottenham earned 47.8 million USD as champions, with Manchester United receiving 41.9 million USD as the runners-up.
