Bangladesh Fans Gift Traditional Hand-Embroidered Quilt to Florentino Pérez

Ahead of the Super El Clásico between Real Madrid and Barcelona, which took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Real Madrid's president, Florentino Pérez, was presented with a unique gift by the fans from Bangladesh. The gift was a hand-embroidered Nakshi Kantha, a symbol of Bangladesh's rich cultural heritage, along with a red-green jersey.

The special ceremony took place on January 11, 2026, at the Hilton Hotel in Jeddah, where members of various international Madrid fan clubs, including "Peña Madridista Bangladesh," gathered to meet Pérez before the Spanish Super Cup final. Sifat Jasim, president of Peña Madridista Bangladesh, shared the details of the event with T Sports.

Jasim explained, "We brought the Nakshi Kantha as a representation of our culture, telling the president that it is a traditional handmade item from Bangladesh. Along with that, we gave him the national jersey. However, he was not allowed to take photos with the jersey."

Despite the restrictions on the jersey photo, Pérez warmly received the Nakshi Kantha, expressing his gratitude towards the Bangladesh fan club for the thoughtful gift. Following the meeting, the event concluded with a photo session with Pérez, and the fan clubs' leaders were seated at the front during the gathering. A documentary showcasing Real Madrid's die-hard fans, including those from Bangladesh, was also shown on a giant screen, highlighting their celebrations.

At the end of the event, Pérez was presented with more gifts from the attending supporters, marking a memorable exchange of appreciation and cultural sharing between Bangladesh's fans and the Real Madrid president.
