Ronaldo’s unbelievable goal with a bicycle kick

The Chronify

Scoring a goal with a bicycle kick in football is not a casual occurrence. It’s something that isn’t seen very often. Every once in a while, a player makes such a goal and draws attention. Just a few days ago, Bangladesh’s Hamza Choudhury came into the spotlight after scoring a bicycle-kick goal against Nepal.

But while bicycle-kick goals are rare for most players, they are not difficult at all for one footballer who is past 40. It hardly needs to be said that the footballer is Cristiano Ronaldo.

Last night, the Portuguese megastar stunned everyone once again by scoring with a bicycle kick. At an age when most players retire and step away from the game, Ronaldo is still lifting himself into the air, leaning back with his back toward the ground, and unleashing a scissor-like strike to score. Truly unbelievable!

This latest bicycle-kick goal came in the Saudi Pro League match against Al-Khaleej. The match was already in stoppage time. Al Nassr were leading 3–1, and victory was only a matter of time. In the 96th minute, Al Nassr launched another attack. Substitute Nawaf Boushal received the ball outside the box on the right flank.

He crossed the ball toward Ronaldo, who was inside the penalty area. Turning the other way, Ronaldo seemed already prepared for the bicycle kick. His timing was perfect. Al-Khaleej goalkeeper Anthony Marez tried, but failed to stop Ronaldo’s shot. After scoring, Ronaldo celebrated joyfully with his teammates.

After the match, Ronaldo posted the video of the goal on social media. But instead of adding a caption himself, he asked fans to write one for him. He wrote, “Best caption wins.” Responding to his call, many fans came up with their own captions.

One person wrote, “A bicycle kick that made the critics disappear.” Another wrote, “The ball floated through the air, destined only for the net.” Someone else captioned it: “A reminder to everyone that the crown still suits him best.” Many such captions filled the comment section of Ronaldo’s post.

On the night of Ronaldo’s spectacular bicycle-kick goal, Al Nassr earned their ninth win in nine Saudi League matches. With this victory, table-toppers Al Nassr now have 27 points. Al Hilal are in second place with 23 points from the same number of matches.

Ronaldo’s Al Nassr will play their next match tomorrow night in the AFC Cup, where their opponents will be Istiklol, a club from Tajikistan.
