China Sets World Record with Maglev Train Reaching 700 km/h in Just 2 Seconds
Chinese Researchers Break Speed Record with World’s Fastest Electric Maglev Train
China has made a groundbreaking achievement with its high-speed Maglev train, setting a world record by reaching a speed of 700 km/h in just two seconds. The train accelerated so quickly that anyone standing nearby would only see it for a fraction of a second. This remarkable feat was accomplished by researchers from the National University of Defense Technology, who conducted the experiment using a magnetic-powered train.
Weighing over 1,000 tons, the train was tested on a Maglev track, where it reached this astonishing speed and successfully came to a safe stop. As a result, it has become the fastest electric Maglev train in the world. The train operates using powerful superconducting magnets, meaning it levitates above the tracks, eliminating direct contact with wheels.
This train's speed is so high that its energy could even launch rockets. If such a system were to become commercially available, people could travel between cities in China in just a few minutes, revolutionizing transportation.
