The Chronify
From 8 to 80 almost everyone uses WhatsApp these days. That's why the company regularly rolls out new features. Now, there's great news for users: you might no longer need a mobile number to use WhatsApp.
According to sources from Mark Zuckerberg’s company, WhatsApp may soon allow users to connect without needing a mobile number. This new feature is being developed with privacy and security in mind. Currently, you need someone’s phone number to chat with them on WhatsApp but that might change in the near future.
The platform is reportedly being redesigned to function more like Instagram. Each account will have a unique username, and you’ll be able to find and connect with people using that username alone. At present, the feature is being tested among beta users.
Whether it's for work or personal conversations, WhatsApp has become a go-to app. To keep the platform fresh and user-friendly, the company constantly experiments with new features. Just recently, it introduced a translation feature. Now, any message can be instantly translated. Wondering how? Just long-press on a message you don’t understand, and you’ll see the “Translate” option. Tap on it, choose your preferred language, and the message will be translated right away hassle-free.
