The Chronify
Jeddah Tower, expected to surpass Burj Khalifa, is rapidly advancing with new floors added every few days, targeting a completion date in 2028.
Construction on the Jeddah Tower, Saudi Arabia’s ambitious mega-project, resumed in January 2025 with impressive speed, now adding about one new floor every 3–4 days. By December 2025, the tower had reached approximately 80 floors, marking a significant milestone in its push toward completion.
Once finished, Jeddah Tower is poised to claim the title of the world's tallest building, surpassing the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, which currently stands at 828 meters. With a planned height of around 1,008 meters, Jeddah Tower will be the tallest skyscraper on the planet.
The tower's foundation is being meticulously engineered to support its immense height, utilizing a massive concrete pad and deep piles anchored into the local rock to ensure stability. As construction progresses, cranes dominate the Jeddah skyline, fueling the rapid pace of development.
With 75 floors completed by August 2025, the work has since accelerated, surpassing the 80-floor mark. The tower's completion is anticipated in 2028, a timeline that signals the rapid development of one of the most ambitious architectural projects in modern history.
