Malaysia devastated by severe floods

Several states in Malaysia have been hit by severe flooding, forcing thousands of residents to evacuate their homes. Kelantan has been the hardest hit among them.
As of 8:45 AM on Monday (24 November), a total of 10,469 people have been moved to safe shelters due to ongoing floods, up from nearly 9,000 overnight.
In the districts of Tumpat, Kota Baru, Pasir Putih, and Bachok, 8,248 people were forced to leave their homes as houses were submerged by water caused by the northeast monsoon. The state has opened 33 temporary relief centers for those affected.
In the districts of Perak, Manjung, Perak Tengah, Larut-Matang-Selama, and Batang Padang, 946 people are staying in shelters.
In the northern region, 342 people in Kulim, Kedah, and 310 people in Padang Besar and Kangar, Perlis, have been evacuated. Floods have also affected Penang, where 242 people from Seberang Perai have been moved to relief centers.
Additionally, on Monday morning, 282 people in Besut, Terengganu, and 55 people in Sabak Bernam, Selangor, were staying in shelters due to the floods.
