Palestinian Families Pledge Support for Gaza Administration Committee

Palestinian families, tribes and clans in Gaza have announced full backing for the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, vowing to protect its humanitarian mission and keep it free from political disputes.
Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip on Sunday pledged their full support for the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, committing to facilitate its humanitarian and relief work and to help remove obstacles hindering its operations.
The announcement was made at a solidarity gathering held in the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, located in Deir al-Balah. The event was organised by representatives of Palestinian families, tribes and clans, reflecting broad grassroots endorsement of the newly formed body.
Addressing the gathering, Alaa al-Din Al-Aklouk, head of the Families’ Gathering, described the formation of the committee as a “pivotal national milestone” emerging from sustained regional and international efforts. He said the committee bears “heavy and complex responsibilities,” particularly amid the devastating aftermath of Gaza Strip’s prolonged war.
Al-Aklouk highlighted that more than two years of Israeli military operations have left Gaza’s infrastructure in ruins, intensified poverty, worsened food insecurity and displaced hundreds of thousands of residents. In this context, he stressed that the committee’s humanitarian role must be protected from political interference to ensure effective relief delivery.
Family and clan representatives pledged to provide social protection for the committee, support coordination on aid distribution, and prevent internal disputes from undermining relief efforts. Speakers emphasized that unity at the community level is essential to rebuilding Gaza and alleviating civilian suffering following the destruction caused by Israel’s war.
Participants concluded by calling on all factions and social groups to cooperate with the committee, prioritizing humanitarian needs over political divisions, and reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding relief operations for the people of Gaza during a critical phase of recovery and reconstruction.
