Thai Airways International has launched its new Airbus A321neo with upgraded cabins and greener technology. The aircraft is expected to serve regional routes, including Dhaka, from summer.
Thai Airways International (THAI) has officially unveiled its new Airbus A321neo at Suvarnabhumi Airport, marking a major step in the airline’s short- and medium-haul fleet modernisation programme.
The A321neo is designed to deliver improved fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and reduced noise, aligning with THAI’s sustainability goals while enhancing operational efficiency across busy regional routes.
Visually, the aircraft features refreshed livery elements and a bespoke A321neo logo inspired by the Thai Contemporary concept, blending modern design with national identity.
Inside the cabin, the aircraft is configured with 16 Royal Silk Class flat-bed seats and 159 Economy Class seats. Both classes are equipped with large touchscreen inflight entertainment displays, offering a more premium onboard experience.
Passengers will also benefit from a next-generation 4K inflight entertainment system and high-speed internet connectivity powered by the SES Open Orbits network, scheduled to be available from early 2026.
The first A321neo, named “Bowonrangsi,” is set to enter commercial service between January and March 2026, initially operating on routes such as Bangkok–Singapore, Bangkok–Phuket, and Bangkok–Delhi.
Thai Airways has confirmed that the aircraft will also be deployed on additional regional routes, with Dhaka planned for summer operations, strengthening air connectivity between Thailand and Bangladesh and offering passengers a more modern and comfortable travel option.
