US President Donald Trump has publicly criticised a recent Israeli airstrike on Beirut, stating that the operation “should not have happened” and warning that continued military escalation could threaten ongoing diplomatic efforts involving Iran.

In a post shared on his Truth Social platform, Trump expressed concern that the strike occurred during what he described as a “special day,” suggesting that the timing was particularly sensitive given the current state of international negotiations.
