UK Police Arrest Man in Connection with Cyberattack That Disrupted European Airports
British authorities have arrested a man in his 40s in connection with a cyberattack that disrupted airport check-in systems across Europe last week, the National Crime Agency (NCA) said on Wednesday.
The suspect was detained on Tuesday under the UK's Computer Misuse Act as part of an ongoing investigation into the attack on Collins Aerospace, a key provider of airport check-in technology. The incident caused widespread disruption at several European airports.
The man has since been released on conditional bail while inquiries continue, the NCA said in a statement.
