Dr. Yunus Shares Post-Election Plans After Meeting Aki Abe

In a recent meeting with Aki Abe, the wife of the late Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Professor Muhammad Yunus, Bangladesh's Chief Advisor, shared his plans for the post-election period. The meeting took place at the Jamuna State Guesthouse on January 11, with Aki Abe visiting Bangladesh as part of a delegation from the Encouragement of Social Contribution (ESC) Foundation.
During the meeting, Aki Abe inquired about Prof. Yunus's plans after the upcoming elections. Prof. Yunus outlined three key areas that he intends to focus on:

Digital Healthcare Development: Prof. Yunus emphasized the need to improve digital healthcare services, especially for women and marginalized communities, ensuring that Bangladeshi expatriates can access family health information and receive advice through a digital system.

Youth Development and Entrepreneurship: He assured that initiatives aimed at empowering youth and fostering entrepreneurship would continue as a priority.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Prof. Yunus also expressed his commitment to continuing efforts related to the SDGs, ensuring that progress remains on track.

Additionally, Prof. Yunus announced plans to visit Japan in the third week of March, where he will meet with officials from the Sasakawa Foundation to discuss collaboration between Bangladesh and Japan in areas such as marine research and ocean conservation.
